Dates: 

OPEN: Our five day  winter skills Course runs every Monday to Friday from mid December through to the 1st of April. 

PRIVATE: Tailored to your dates anytime between December to April 1st.

Cost: 

OPEN: £500pp for the 5 days.

PRIVATE: £320 1 - 3 persons per day 

                £360 3 - 6 persons per day

RATIO: 1 instructor to 6 Guests

Location 

The course is based from Fort William with easy access to Ben Nevis. Our skills day will be on the surrounding hills such as Aonach Mor or in Glencoe. 

Summits &
Skills (5day) 

Our winter skills week covers the essential skills for winter mountain travel. Effective use of crampons and ice axe, understanding of snow and avalanche avoidance and winter navigation are essential skills for those looking to explore the mountains during winter. This course is carried out practically in the winter mountains with full days out in the mountains developing your winter mountaineering skills and summiting numerous Munros over five days.

Skill : Winter Skills 

We have a comprehensive training day where we look into the essential skills for winter mountain travel. This includes movement on snow and ice with ice axe and crampons. Winter navigation and also avalanche awareness and avoidance. We then coach as we go putting it all into practice.

Summits : Cairngorms, Nevis, Glencoe

We are spoilt for choice in the Highalnds for quality winter summits. We have all the Cairngorms summits including Ben Macdui & Cairngorm. Ben Nevis & Creag Megaidh offer good options. We also aim to make a mix of ridges and other technical ground as we progress through the week.

Equipment : What's included 

We have a full winter kit list​. In addition we offer ice axe, crampons, helmet, goggles along with a map and compass within your course fee. We can arrange the hire of winter mountain boots in Fort William should this be required.
