Our intro to winter climbing and mountaineering course give those the skills to start ticking off some of the superb winter climbing climbing on offer in the Scottish Highlands. Scottish mixed and ice climbing has a huge wealth of superb climbs once the winter season arrives.
Skill : Winter Climbing Skills
Comprehensive instruction in route selection, winter protection, anchors and belays. Abseils & retreating methods. Grade and guidebook interpretation. Avalanche awareness and avoidance.
Where : Northern Cairngorms
The Northern Cairngorms offer a variety of routes which we can fit experience, conditions and ambitions to make a suitable route. We also move to different locations from Aviemore such as Ben Nevis and Creag Megaidh.
Equipment : What's included
We have a full winter kit list. In addition we offer ice axes, crampons, helmet, goggles along with a map and compass within your course fee. We can arrange the hire of winter mountain boots in locally should this be required.

OPEN: Our five day winter climbing cours runs every week from mid December through to the 1st of April.
PRIVATE: Tailored to your dates anytime between December to April 1st.
