Team trip underground in the Spar Cave, Skye.
Spar Cave
Route number 1 in the Skye Scrambles guidebook making this perhaps one of the more unusual of the routes. Near Elgol and tucked away in a deep narrow sea cleft is the Spar Cave. With a sea level traverse to enter the cave followed by a couple of steep steps you enter the cave dripping with impressive white flow stone. A unique trip underground and perhaps a good option when above ground is not looking so good. Get in touch to explore this cave with Highland Guides.

Spar Cave : What is it?

The approach requires careful timing with the tide. At low tide a sea level traverse brings you round the rocky cliffs into the small inlet. No wet feet with the correct tides.
