Learn to Lead 

This course puts it all together with leading independently placing protection, building anchors and bringing up a second. Highland Guides careful instruction and guidance helps you take on the ‘sharp end’ coaching technique and efficient rope work. A course for those with a good understanding of traditional climbing and seconding experience and looking to make the move to leading. We also offer this in a single or multi pitch setting depending on your goals and prior experience.

We have a detailed Summer Kit List. We provide all but clothing. All hardware and ropes. Helmet, Harness and associated belay plate are included in the cost. First aid kit and safety gear is all provided by the instructor.

Open: Run every weekend from the 1st of April until the 1st of November 

Private: Anytime between the 1st of April and the 1st of November.

Cost: 

Open: £350pp for two days 

Private: £320 for two people per day. 

Ratio: 1 instructor to 2 guests.

Open: Courses are held in the Aviemore and Inverness area. 

Private: Scotland wide.
