These days are aimed at seeing the Cairngorm in full winter. We coach some essential skills for movement on snow covered terrain with an axe and crampons while making ascents of Cairngorm Munros such as Cairngorm, Ben Macdui and Braeriach.
Course Details
OPEN: Our one day Cairngorm cours runs every weekend from mid December through to the 1st of April.
PRIVATE: Tailored to your dates anytime between December to April 1st.

We deliver comprehensive training on the essential skills for winter mountain travel as we go. This includes movement on snow and ice with ice axe and crampons, winter navigation and also some avalanche awareness and avoidance.
Summits : Northern Cairngorms
The Northern Cairngorms offer a variety of routes which we can fit experience, conditions and ambitions to make a suitable route. All routes have superb views and wild mountain feel giving a real taste of winter.
Equipment : What's included
We have a full winter kit list. In addition we offer ice axe, crampons, helmet, goggles along with a map and compass within your course fee. We can arrange the hire of winter mountain boots in locally should this be required.
