Narrow ridges and steep terrain, our course covers the tricky mountaineering ground before graded rock climbing. Grade 3 scrambling and Moderate rock climbing.
Skills : Details
Rope work, such as tying in, belaying, building anchors using direct and indirect belays, route choice, retreat including self protected abseils.

We have a detailed summer kit list page. We are able to provide all technical hardware and group safety equipment.
Helmet and Harness are included in the course fee.

Our AACUK roped scrambling and mountaineering course is a comprehensive and practical course for those looking to develop the skills to tackle scrambles and easier climbs in the mountains. Placing traditional climbing gear & managing roped pitches while on technial mountian along with building sound anchors are essential mountaineering skills. We cover these over a practical course covering the essentials on a mountain route.
