“As a complete novice, I was initially apprehensive, but Jo's patient instruction and unwavering encouragement fostered a sense of confidence and accomplishment. I pushed my boundaries, tackling challenges I never thought possible. Jo consistently ensured our comfort and enjoyment, adapting the plan to our abilities and preferences. This course exceeded expectations and has ignited a newfound passion for climbing. I wholeheartedly recommend Highland Guides to anyone seeking a challenging and rewarding mountain adventure'

'My brother and I had a great day out on Liathach via the south ridge of Mullach an Rathain. Our guide Jo was fantastic and made the day so enjoyable! She showed us techniques for building anchors and moving as a team whilst on ropes; as well as being a fun and chatty person to be on the mountain with. Despite experiencing all four seasons of weather in a day (even snow!!) we didn’t stop smiling. Will definitely join them again'

I had a great 2 days on Skye with Jo (&Dan!) recently. Jo came up with lots of options for both days depending on my preferences and ensured that our days were varied and exciting, involving different types of climbing and scrambling while using different bits of kit. Our amazing weather just topped off a fantastic weekend - I couldn't have asked for more. Would not hesitate to book with Highland Guides again and definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a great experience on Skye or any of the other many days out Jo and Dan can offer.

I ascended Ben Nevis with Jo. Before the ascent Jo kept a good eye on the weather forecast and gave advice. The forecast wasn't good and Jo made it clear that we would only be able to summit if the conditions were safe. They were difficult conditions with strong gusts of wind and driving rain and we made it up and down safely. Jo is a knowledgeable guide who is patient and great company. I thoroughly enjoyed my day out with her and would gladly use her services again.

Dan took me on the climbing trip of a lifetime - literally. I first saw the Cuillin ridge from Sligachan aged 7 in 1953. Ever since then I have wanted to climb it but previous attempts have failed due to weather. Finally this year, now aged 79, I engaged Dan for a week of guiding the glorious Cuillin. Grading the climbs to my ability we tackled some strenuous routes at lower level until weather broke long enough to ascend full height to the ridge. My boyhood ambition achieved. Thank you Dan.
