CAIRNGORM MOUNTAINEER

Our Cairngorm Mountaineer course is designed for those looking to transition from hillwalking to climbing. This course is available as either a guided day or an instructional course focused on the ropework involved in ridges and scrambling. It’s also an excellent preparation for those planning an Alpine mountaineering trip.

Set in the Northern Cairngorms, we take advantage of some of the region’s stunning granite ridges and scrambling routes, with a relatively short walk-in to access the rock and make the most of the instruction.

Our guided days are perfect for those eager to explore more challenging terrain and elevate their hillwalking skills. This offers a different and more exciting route to the summit of Cairngorm.

Included in your course cost, we provide a harness, helmet, and belay plate. We also supply all necessary hardware, ropes, a first aid kit, and other mountain safety equipment. A full kit list is available on our website, and we’re happy to answer any questions about what to bring or wear.
